Glenwood choir performing at spring concert

On Thursday, May 14th, the Glenwood choir and students from kindergarten, first grade, and second grade classes performed their hearts out with spectacular singing at the annual spring concert. The students sang a variety of traditional songs, “Mister Sun,” as well as multi-cultural songs which included a Japanese folk song, “Sakura, Sakura.” This was a timely and culturally relevant song as we continue to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month as a district. Songs were combined with moves, enthusiasm, and powerful vocals in each performance. The students rocked it out! As usual, our newly formed Glenwood choir did an excellent job performing their featured songs, ”This World and Me,” and “To Make You Proud.” We were indeed proud of this awesome choir!

Many thanks to all our Tigers and “Tiger-lets” who performed and special thanks to our amazing music teachers, Ms. Kali Jankovich and Mr. Joseph Moorehouse for their diligence and continued commitment to musical excellence for each of our students. Thanks also to teachers and families for their support, and to Principal Cabrina Leneau who emceed this memorable event. Well done, Glenwood Tigers!
